Top 5 WOTLK Add-ons - The Most Popular WOW Add-ons
WOW Addons are little programs created using the warcraft scripting system which lets programmers create useful (and not so useful) addons for World of warcraft.
From simple layout changes to complete quest guides that know the location for every quest in the game they can be created.
To install an addon you simply download it from a reputable site like curse gaming, unzip the addon, and move it to your World of Warcraft/Interface/Addons directory, restart or start wow and the addon should instantly work.
I've gathered the Top 5 most popularly used addons from several very popular WOW Addon sites and here's the list.
#1. QuestHelper
Questhelper is lveling addon, it will show you the location of your quest objectives, your parties objectives and a few other tricks. This is one type of addon you must have as it will increase leveling speed significantly.
#2. Recount
Recount is a graphical damage meter. This will show you how much damage you've done and how much the party you're in (if you are) has done. This is used a lot for raiding so you can see who is doing the most damage and who is doing the most healing.
#3. Cartographer
Cartographer is a Map addon. It will add a little button to your minimap where you can click it, choose an instance and see level ranges etc. It will also show you the level ranges for all the zones on your map. It also has a few other map addons that show nodes for mining and herbalism.
#4. AtlasLoot Enchanced
Atlas Loot is a User interface addon which lets you see what drops what. Mainly used for instances so you can see what loot a certain boss drops. It's very useful if you run instances to see if the loot is worthwhile to you.
#5. Bartender
Bartender is a action bar modification addon. It lets you move your action bars around, rearrange them and resize them. Depending on your play style (if you're a clicker or not) will depend the usefulness of this).
